RYDER CUP 2006 - DISABILITY POLICY
INTRODUCTION:
All disability is individual and therefore RCL will try to respond individually to each spectator by providing a team of specifically designated Marshals to aid in the movement of persons around the course through buggies or guidance.
APPLICATION:All those who require a disabled parking pass/access to the course should contact Ryder Cup Travel Services on +44(0)870 755 3004.
PARKING:Once the number of disabled ticket holders is finalised the location will be confirmed of either Palmerstown Park & Ride or Weston Park & Ride.
A disabled shuttle bus will be provided from this confirmed area and will drop spectators off inside the K Club adjacent to the Marshals HQ and Event Mobility HQ (Area 25).
ON COURSE:People should report to the Marshal HQ where at least 4 Marshals have been assigned to transport them around the course to the following designated viewing points:
A supply of chairs will be provided to enable people to sit and watch the golf once they have been transported.
EVENT MOBILITY:This is a new initiative for 2006.
Event Mobility will provide approx. 30 Mobile Scooters for those with walking disabilities which are available for hire. Users will be provided with a map directing the areas where the scooters can travel on course and the no go areas which must be followed. These must be booked in advance.
Bookings should be made direct with Ryder Cup Travel Services by phoning +44(0)870 755 3004. Payment must be made at the time of booking by credit card only.
