Spectator Information

Ryder Cup Europe LLP (RCLLP) respectfully requests that all spectators observe the following guidelines at all times during Ryder Cup week and familiarise themselves with the event site and facilities in advance of arrival.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Ryder Cup Europe LLP reserves the right to refuse admission to or remove any person from the event carrying and/or consuming alcohol on the golf course other than in the designated areas. Spectators will be required to conduct themselves in good and orderly behaviour whilst at The K Club and in the surroundings during the week of The 2006 Ryder Cup. If any person behaves in a loud, disorderly, unruly or abusive manner, then the person, immediately after being requested to do so by a representative of RCLLP, will be required to leave the venue. RCLLP's decision to require the removal of any such person shall be final and RCLLP shall not compensate any person in any way in respect of such removal.

ATTIRE

Spectators should remember that this is an outdoor event and subject to changing weather conditions. Please dress accordingly. Smart, casual wear is recommended. Sensible shoes should be worn. NO METAL SPIKES ALLOWED.

AUTOGRAPH POLICY

Ryder Cup Europe LLP and the players respectfully request that spectators DO NOT AT ANY TIME solicit player autographs throughout the week of The 2006 Ryder Cup.

AVERAGE TEMPERATURES

Average temperatures for the Dublin area at the end of September range from a high of 15°C to a low of 8°C.

BANKING

There will be ATM machines located in the Tented Village, Ryder Cup Lawn area and adjacent to the 16th Tee (see Site Map).

CAMERAS

Cameras, including Video Cameras, are permitted on Practice Days - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Cameras, including Video Cameras, are NOT permitted on Official Match Days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

CHILDCARE

No public créche facility is available.

DISABLED FACILITIES

All disability is individual and therefore RCLLP will try to respond individually to each spectator by providing a team of specifically designated Marshals to aid in the movement of persons around the course through buggies or guidance.

All those who require a disabled parking pass/access to the course should contact Ryder Cup Travel Services on +44 (0)870 755 3004.

Disabled Car Parking will be in Car Park 2A, adjacent to The K Club.

A disabled shuttle will be provided from this confirmed area and will drop off spectators inside The K Club adjacent to the Marshals HQ and Event Mobility HQ (see Site Map). People should report to the Marshals HQ where at least four Marshals have been assigned to transport them around the course to the following designated viewing points:- Tented Village Area/Merchandise Pavilion, Practice Ground, 1st/10th Tee, 9th Green, 15th Green, 16th Green and 18th Green. A supply of chairs will be provided to enable spectators to sit and watch the golf once they have been transported.

EVENT MOBILITY

This is a new initiative for 2006.

Event Mobility will provide approximately 30 Mobile Scooters that are available for hire for those with walking disabilities. Users will be provided with a map directing the areas where the scooters can travel on-course and the no go areas which must be followed.

Scooters will be available for hire from Tuesday, September 19 - Sunday, September 24 at a charge of €25 per day (this is a charitable donation to Event Mobility). These must be booked in advance.

Disabled toilets are located in both the main Tented Village Areas. Each area will have specifically designed units. Disabled toilets will also be at all other Public Areas on-course (see Site Map). All public tentage facilities, i.e. Public Catering, Merchandise Pavilion, etc. have ramped as well as stair access.

EVACUATION PROCEDURE

If it is necessary to evacuate the site at any time, please follow the instructions of the Course Marshals and Event Officials in an orderly fashion to ensure the safety of all participants.

FIRST AID

First Aid facilities are located in the Tented Village (see Site Map). There are also First Aid facilities on-course by the 4th Tee/5th Green, 14th Green, 16th Tee and on The Ryder Cup Lawn (see Site Map).

In the event of any medical emergency, please approach a member of staff or Course Marshal, who will contact on-site emergency personnel.

A pharmacy is located in the Tented Village.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Food & Beverages may be purchased within the Tented Village. A selection of hot and cold food is available. A Champagne & Seafood Bar and a Public Bar are also located in the Tented Village. A further four on-course catering facilities will offer a limited range of food (see Site Map).

GARDA INFORMATION

A Garda information point is located in the Tented Village.

GIANT SCREENS

Giant Screens are strategically placed at Holes 3, 10, 13, 16, 18, Practice Area of Ryder Cup Lawn and in the Tented Village for spectators to enjoy.

GRANDSTANDS

Grandstand seating is available to the public at the Practice Ground and at Holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, except during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies when seating will be limited (see Site Map).

HOSPITALITY INFORMATION

Hospitality Offices are sited adjacent to the Tented Village opposite the Merchandise Tent.

INFORMATION OFFICE

Information Offices are sited near the main entrance in the Tented Village.

INTERNATIONAL PAVILION

Located adjacent to The K Club Hotel, the International Pavilion is an assisted service, bistro-style café featuring full on-course TV coverage, Coffee Bar, Bistro, Champagne, Pimms & Seafood and full-service bar.

Open to International Pavilion ticket holders only. No tickets are available for purchase.

Food and Beverage may be paid for by cash, credit card or pre-paid vouchers, which are available to hospitality clients in advance from designated Client Service Managers.

LEADERBOARDS

Leaderboards are located on almost every hole to keep spectators informed of up to the minute match standings.

LOCATOR BOARDS

Locator Boards are strategically placed around the course for spectator convenience.

LOST PROPERTY/LEFT LUGGAGE

The lost property point is situated in the Tented Village and there are left luggage offices in the North and South Bus Terminals.

MERCHANDISE

A full range of merchandise articles, including Radio Headsets, will be on sale at the Official Merchandise Shop opposite the Tented Village, at the satellite Merchandise Shop on The Ryder Cup Lawn and next to the 16th Tee (see Site Map). www.rydercupshop.com

The Merchandise Shop will offer a full range of shipping options for soft goods of reasonable size/weight within the Merchandise Pavilion after passing through the tills.

Available for purchase in the Village Shop situated in the Tented Village.

OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONIES

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will take place on the afternoons of Thursday, September 21 and Sunday, September 24 adjacent to the Practice Ground. Please note that Ceremonies are open to the public (with valid corresponding day's admission ticket), but seating in grandstands will be limited. A "reserved" grandstand will close at 10:00 for the Opening Ceremony (re-opening at 12:00 for reserved seating ticket holders) and 13:00 for the Closing Ceremony (re-opening at 14:00 for reserved seating ticket holders).

PROHIBITED ITEMS

NO bags/rucksacks/back-packs/carryalls greater than 8"x 8" x 8", mobile phones, cameras, personal handheld computers (including Blackberrys), ladders, picnic baskets/boxes, briefcases, radios (excluding Ryder Cup Official Radios), portable televisions, push chairs, bicycles, lawn chairs, audible pagers, signs will be permitted beyond ticket and security checkpoints, onto the Park & Ride scheme or into the grounds. Only guide dogs will be permitted into the grounds.

Please note the above is not an exhaustive list of prohibited items. Also, please be advised that even if guests choose to bring a bag smaller than 8"x 8", the bags will still be subject to search which might lengthen the amount of time it takes to pass through ticket and security checkpoints. These items are prohibited under the advise of An Garda Síochána to facilitate quicker access to the course, to enable the golfers to play undisturbed, and for your own safety and security.

PUBLICATIONS

The Official Programme priced at €10.00 will be on sale at the entrance to the Tented Village and in the Official Merchandise Shops. In addition, complimentary Daily Draw Sheets, Course Guides and Player Guides will be available to ticket holders.

RADIOS

Specially programmed Official Ryder Cup Radio Headsets broadcasting live commentary from Ryder Cup Radio and RTE Radio will be on sale to the public at kiosks and Official Merchandise Shops. Price €10.00.

Only Official Ryder Cup Headsets are permitted on-site.

SPECTATOR ETIQUETTE

• Remain still throughout each shot and do not move until all the players in the group have played or holed out.
• Do not speak to the players while they are on the course.
• Walk, don't run, and obey the Marshals - they are trying to make your day more enjoyable.
• Kneel or sit down if you are in the front row.
• Please keep behind the ropes and barriers around the course and use the official crossing points.
• You must display your admission credential prominently at all times.
• Familiarise yourself with the location of First Aid stations and refreshment areas.
• Please be considerate of other spectators when using umbrellas.

TELEPHONES

Public telephones are situated in the Tented Village and other public areas around the course (see Site Map). Mobile phones are strictly prohibited.

TENTED VILLAGE

The Tented Village, located adjacent to the 9th Hole and opposite the Practice Ground, offers extensive public catering and bar facilities. Public telephones, the giant screen, main scoreboard, first aid, banking and toilets are all located within the Tented Village for spectator convenience.

TOILETS

Situated in the Tented Village at the golf course end and at strategic places on the course (see Site Map).

VILLAGE SHOP

Situated in the Tented Village, selling newspapers, confectionery and tobacco products.

WEATHER POLICY

Please observe the leaderboards and giant screens throughout the day for the Weather Warning Sign that will appear if Ryder Cup Europe LLP becomes aware of inclement weather moving into the area. When this sign appears, spectators are advised to take precautions and seek shelter PRIOR to play being suspended. If the air horn sounds, put umbrellas down and seek shelter immediately.
