One of Nick Faldo's most experienced and reliable lieutenants, the 35 year old Englishman has a brilliant Ryder Cup record, playing 25 Matches and winning a total of 15½ points since his debut at Valderrama in 1997. Has not lost a Match since his 2002 Singles tie against Scott Verplank at The Belfry, winning an unbelievable 8½ points out of ten in Europe's two recent victories in 2004 and 2006. Has achieved an outstanding level of consistency on The 2008 European Tour International Schedule with nine top ten finishes to date through the US PGA Championship. Lee Westwood has produced some outstanding performances this year, finishing tied 11th in the Masters Tournament, third in the US Open Championship and tied second at the World Golf Championships–Bridgestone Invitational, and it is only a matter of time until he adds to his overwhelming total of 29 worldwide victories. The European Number One in the year 2000, he won an amazing six titles that year to match the record number of victories in a single European Tour season set by Seve Ballesteros and subsequently equalled by Colin Montgomerie and Faldo.
