Irish duo to lead Europeans out in afternoon fourballs

Irish pair Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell will lead Europe's Friday afternoon fourball at Valhalla, facing Phil Mickelson and Anthony Kim.

Nick Faldo chose to send out the three-time Major winner Harrington in the first pairing, alongside rookie McDowell, and he will once again go head-to-head with Mickelson and Kim against whom he halved his foursome match on Friday morning.

Englishmen Ian Poulter and Justin Rose are paired together once again, taking on Steve Stricker and Ben Curtis as Europe try to reclaim the momentum .

Spaniards Sergio Garcia and Miguel Angel Jiménez face Justin Leonard and Hunter Mahan while Lee Westwood will once again anchor Europe's pairings, with rookie Søren Hansen joining him against Kentuckian JB Holmes and Boo Weekly.
