
The 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales draws closer
The Rt. Hon Rhodri Morgan, First Minister for Wales, and Ieuan Wyn Jones, Deputy First Minister of Wales, were greeted by George O'Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour, Richard Hills, The European Tour's Ryder Cup Director and Terry Matthews, owner of The Celtic Manor Resort, (pictured above) at a Wales 2010 Celebration evening at The Muhammad Ali Centre in Louisville.
Other guests of honour included John Jermine, Chairman for Ryder Cup Wales, Brian Whitcomb, President of the PGA of America, Phil Weaver, Chairman of the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) and Sandy Jones, Chief Executive of the PGA.
The evening of traditional Welsh entertainment, provided by The Tams and Welsh Opera legend Bryn Terfel, and a tour of the Ali museum for a packed audience marked another step in the build up to The 2010 Ryder Cup.
