Recap: Match 14
Instant analysis: Stricker wielded one of the hotter putters on a day when many were making them. None was bigger than his birdie at the last to secure the halve.
Key moments: Stricker topping Garcia's birdie at the par-3 eighth was a momentum killer for Europe. He did it again at the short 13th to keep the match all-square, which it remained for the last nine holes.
Player report cards
Curtis: B. Played a steady tee-to-green game to give America two shots at winning or halving many holes.
Stricker: A-. Stole two or three halves with killer birdie putts.
Garcia: B+. Under the weather but showed his typical fighting spirit and scored on most of the holes for Europe.
Casey: B-. Never looked comfortable on the greens and only highlight was short birdie at the last.
What They Said
Curtis: "You just couldn't have asked for a better partner. Steve was just tremendous all day. He was awesome. And to get a half when no one expected it was a big thing."
Stricker: "It was back and forth all day. But we had the mindset that we should win and we shouldn't tie because no one expects us to do anything. At the end it felt like a win."
Casey: "Sergio played great golf all day and he makes a great teammate. He carried me along. The least I could do is make one after I missed a bunch all day. But, you know, that's the way golf is. We didn't give up. Neither did they. It was a good match without anyone really getting ahead."
