Mickelson, after a raucous ovation from the home crowd, blasted a drive that found the right side of the fairway. Stenson hit an approach to about 10 feet. Kim hit his approach a little long, about 30 feet past the pin. Mickelson's birdie putt came up a foot short and was conceded for par. Wilson's birdie putt skirted the left edge, and the hole was halved.

Stenson chunked his chip from the front fringe; it only went about 6 feet and was still not on the green. Wilson then chipped it well, but it slid by the cup and Europe conceded to give the hole to the USA.
32063Mickelson teed off for the U.S., hitting a high cut that faded right into the pin. The ball hit near the middle of the green and rolled about 8 feet past the pin. Wilson sended his tee shot to the right and found the greenside bunker. Stenson hit a nice bunker shot to 3 feet. Kim stepped up and drained the birdie putt as the USA won the hole.
43754Kim's drive left Mickelson with a short 50-yard shot to the green. Mickelson's chip ended up about 8 feet from the pin again. Stenson's drive was blasted down near the green but left Wilson an awkward chip. Wilson's chip ran about 10 feet by the hole. Stenson's birdie attempt missed on the left side. Kim was putting for birdie for the third hole in a row, and his putt found the center of the cup to give the hole to the USA.
54634Mickelson drilled his tee shot a long way down the left center of the fairway. Wilson's drive found a fairway bunker down the right side. Stenson hit a great shot out of the bunker from 177 yards out and put it on the green, about 15 feet from the pin. Kim's approach shot also found the green, just beside Stenson's shot. Mickelson's birdie putt hit the right edge of the cup but failed to drop. Wilson's birdie putt missed just low of the hole, and the hole was halved.

Kim's drive was solid, and Mickelson followed it with a long approach that found the greenside bunker on the left. Wilson's approach shot found the fairway, but is 30 yards short of the green. Kim's bunker shot was very good, ending up a foot away from the pin. Stenson's chip onto the green went 15 feet past, and Wilson barely missed the putt. USA wins the hole.

Kim was able to knock it back to the fairway. But Mickelson then hit the approach from 208 yards bouncing off the rock wall in front of the green and riccocheting into the crowd. Stenson's approach stayed dry. Kim's chip from an awkward lie went into the water. Wilson chipped it close and the birdie was conceded.

Wilson's birdie putt stayed left the entire way and ended up just left of the hole. His par putt was conceded. Kim's par putt just slid by. Europe wins the hole, but the USA is still 2-up.

Kim, from the left rough, hit his approach onto the green, about 4 feet closer than Stenson's approach shot. Wilson putted first and hit a nice putt that just drifted an inch left of the hole. Mickelson's putt was on a similar line and also missed just left. The ball trickled by 3 feet and settled into a ball mark. It didn't bother Kim as he drained the par putt to halve the hole.

Kim's drive found a fairway bunker and Mickelson, from 270 yards, hit a fairway wood out of the bunker and left into the crowd about 50 yards from the green. Kim's approach pitch ran onto the green and rolled 30 feet past. Stenson's chip rolled up nicely and stopped 2 feet past the pin. Team USA conceded the birdie putt. Mickelson's attempt to birdie missed just right. Europe wins the hole to go to 1-down.

Stenson putted from the first cut of rough and put it to a tap-in distance. Kim's bunker shot was excellent, stopping 2 feet from the pin. Both putts were conceded and the hole was halved.
124644Kim's drive flew far right. Mickelson's recovery shot rattled around and stayed in the trees. Kim lashed it out over the green into more trees on the other side. Stenson's drive was perfect and Wilson put the approach to 15 feet of the pin. Mickelson's fourth shot was from down below a hill and barely reached the green, still 80 feet away from the cup. The U.S. conceded, meaning Europe had erased a 4-hole deficit in the span of 6 holes and is back to all-square.

Kim's approach was short and right, and sat quickly rather than spinning back into the water. Mickelson's putt from 30 feet was on line but came up a foot short. Wilson's putt looked good but drifted right at last moment, so the hole was halved.

Stenson made his putt for bogey. Mickelson made his putt, also for bogey, so the hole was halved.

The ball bounced off a spectator on the far side of a creek on the right side of the fairway and bounced into the water. Stenson hit a nice approach to within 12 feet of the cup. Mickelson hit a nice shot over the creek, but as it slid by, the Americans concede the hole. Europe leads, 1-up, for the first time in the match.

Mickelson's approach shot was toward the center of the green, running a touch long and just off into the fringe. Wilson, with a 5-wood, hit a high shot toward the flag that found the very back edge of the green. Kim's chip was delicate and slid a little left, leaving Mickelson a 7-foot putt for par. Stenson hit an excellent putt from 35 feet and left it a foot away. The par putt was conceded. Mickelson calmly drains his putt to halve the hole.
