Player Notes

Stewart Cink has earned many accolades in his professional career, among them being the first player to be named Nationwide and PGA Tour rookie of the year in successive seasons (1996, '97). In winning the MCI Heritage for the second time in 2004, he had the largest come-from-behind victory (nine strokes) since Paul Lawrie at the 1999 Open Championship. This will mark Cink's third Ryder Cup appearance, and his laid-back nature will be counted on by captain Paul Azinger to help calm the nerves of Team USA's younger members.
