Ryder Cup 2010 -- Disability Policy
All disabilities are individual and therefore RCL will try to respond individually to each spectator by providing a team of specifically designated Marshals to aid in the movement of persons around the course through buggies or guidance.
Spectators who have Ryder Cup Tickets and have a vehicle tax exemption badge should contact Louise Sandford firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain the correct car park accreditation.
There will be dedicated parking at each of the Park & Ride sites for spectators who are blue badge holders. If you are a Vehicle Tax Exemption badge holder and / or are a wheelchair user there will be designated car parking at The Celtic Manor Resort Hotel Car Park.
A shuttle bus will then be provided from this area and will drop spectators outside The 2010 Clubhouse where should they need further assistance onto the course, can contact one of the Course Marshals or Volunteer Safety Stewards who will look after their needs.
Event Mobility Scooters can be hired upon arrival at the 2010 Clubhouse. It is advised to pre-book a mobility scooter prior to the event - www.eventmobility.org.uk
Spectators who are blue badge holders should report to the Marshal HQ (area 9) where at least 4 Marshals have been assigned to transport spectators around the course to the following designated viewing points:
-- Tented Village Area/Merchandise Pavilion
-- Practice Ground
-- 1st Tee
-- 5th, 14th, 16th, 18th Green
A supply of chairs will be provided to enable people to sit and watch the golf once they have been transported.
Event Mobility will provide approx. 30 Mobile Scooters for those with walking disabilities which are available for hire. Users will be provided with a map directing the areas where the scooters can travel on course and the no go areas which must be followed.
Please note that the scooters are fully booked Tuesday through Sunday of Ryder Cup week.
Bookings should be made direct with Event Mobility by phoning +44(0)1386 725391. Payment must be made at the time of booking by credit card only.

DISABLED TOILET FACILITIES

All public tentage facilities i.e. public catering; merchandise pavilion etc. have ramped as well as stair access, though unfortunately due to limited space the champagne and seafood tent do not have ramped access.
