2010 Ryder Cup

Getting to and from The 2010 Ryder Cup

Ryder Cup Europe advises that only spectators with tickets valid for Sunday October 3 will be admitted to The Celtic Manor Resort on Monday, October 4, when the final series of singles for The 2010 Ryder Cup is scheduled to start at 09.05am on The Twenty Ten Course.

The last bus will depart for the course at approximately 15.00 hours. The last bus from The Celtic Manor Resort to the East Park and Ride (Llanwern) will depart from the course approximately two hours following the end of the singles.

All road restrictions, with the exception of those in the vicinity of the West Park and Ride (Tredegar House), implemented during the week of The 2010 Ryder Cup will remain in place on Monday, October 4.

•           What will be available on site, for example, merchandise big screens etc?

There will be limited public catering in the tented village and on course eg. Champagne and Seafood restaurant will not be operational, however the Public Catering area will be. There will be a limited service for Hospitality. The Merchandise Pavilion will remain open as long as stocks last. The decision on other Exhibition Units will be made by individual exhibitors.

•           I’m not a Sunday ticket holder (I’ve got one for Fri/Sat), but I do want to come back on Monday. Why can’t I?

Under the Terms and Conditions of Tickets for The 2010 Ryder Cup, it is clear in stating that only spectators holding valid tickets for SUNDAY will be guaranteed access to the course for play on Monday.

This condition must be adhered to as it would be impossible to predict the numbers of spectators if the gates were opened to all ticket holders and this inevitably would have significant implications for spectator safety and transportation.

For those spectators who visited the course on Friday, Ryder Cup Europe confirms that, under the Terms and Conditions of The 2010 Ryder Cup, ticket holders are not entitled to a refund. Nevertheless we appreciate the patience and consideration shown by spectators in the face of appalling weather conditions. We request that all Friday ticket holders retain their tickets.  An announcement will be made on www.rydercup.com following the conclusion of The 2010 Ryder Cup regarding ticketing opportunities on European Tour competitions in 2011 including The Celtic Manor Wales Open.
