Sky's the limit with Emirates

Emirates, Official Airline of The 2010 Ryder Cup, are offering fans the chance to 'play' the course in the tented village.

The 45,000 spectators who poured through the gates of The Celtic Manor Resort on Saturday got the chance to try to emulate their heroes at the Emirates Ryder Cup Challenge.

So far, 1,400 spectators have tried their luck on the Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive simulators in the Tented Village.

Even American Dustin Johnson, the longest hitter on either Team, would have been impressed with the 375.96 yards notched this afternoon by Lauri Ruusha, who won an Emirates goody bag.

The same prize was also bagged by Joe Parsons, who struck his shot to 4ft 7ins on the Nearest the Pin simulator.

The top scorers before mid-day are rewarded with an upgrade into the VIP hospitality suite, with the winner announced on the big screen at 12.15pm.

Two return flights to Dubai are also up for grabs for any spectator who answers the competition question correctly. But you will have to be quick – the prize draw takes place in the Tented Village at mid-day on Sunday.
