No. 16
The final three new holes have been stepped into the hillside of the Usk Valley, resulting in superb natural views across these holes as well as those located across the base of the valley. The 16th is a long and demanding par 4 which will present a stern challenge for even the very best player. A narrow fairway with deep bunkers on each side means that accuracy off the tee is essential. Any drive that leaks even slightly to the right is likely to be swept away down a steep embankment. A spectacular downhill approach shot will demand a well struck long iron or fairway wood. Holding the green will be vital however as the putting surface is angled from left to right as well as being heavily defended by some of the most punishing bunkering on the course.
