PLAYER NOTES

With one of the game's least orthodox swings, Jim Furyk ended a two-year victory drought on the PGA Tour with two wins in 2010. He shot a final-round 2-under 69 for a one-stroke victory over K.J. Choi in the Transitions Championship -- his first victory since the 2007 RBC Canadian Open, a span of 58 events -- then parred the first playoff hole to beat Brian Davis at the Verizon Heritage for his second victory of the season and the 15th of his career. He's won on some of the country's best courses: Doral Resort & Spa, Muirfield Village and Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. A fierce competitor, Furyk no doubt will be looking to improve on what is a surprisingly weak 8-13-3 career Ryder Cup record.
