If the Ryder Cup were being played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Johnson would be a tough man to beat: He's won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am the last two years. At the 2010 U.S. Open -- also at Pebble Beach -- Johnson entered the final round with a three-shot lead, but after a par on the first hole, posted a triple bogey, double bogey and bogey on Nos. 2-4 to see his championship hopes derailed. More heartbreak followed at the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, where he birdied Nos. 16 and 17 to grab a one-stroke lead before grounding his club in a fairway bunker on the 18th cost him a two-stroke penalty and his first major title. One of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, Johnson will be making his Ryder Cup debut. How much he plays or contributes at Celtic Manor will be one of the top story lines for Team USA.
