Joined the Champions Tour during September 2007 at the age of 50, where he has won the Bank of American Championship in June 2008 and has also twice won the Wal-Mart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, in 2008 and 2009. Sluman's best season on the PGA Tour came in 2002 where he finished with a ranking of 15th and $1, 250,187 in earnings. He won only once before the age of 40, 1988 PGA Championship, yet from 1997 onwards Sluman won seven events in seven years, four of which were on the PGA TOUR. After a college career at Florida State University, he turned pro in 1980.
