PLAYER NOTES

Coming off a banner 2009, during which he posted career-best numbers in wins (3), runner-up finishes (2), top-10s (11) and top-25 finishes (16), Stricker has continued his solid play in 2010. He closed with a 1-under 70 for a two-shot victory over Luke Donald at the Northern Trust Open and his fourth win in 15 starts, moving up to No. 2 in the world for the second time in his career and eclipsing $25 million in career earnings. As the defending champion at the John Deere Classic, Stricker began his tournament knowing Paul Goydos had shot a 59 earlier in the day, but answered by coming in with an 11-under 60. He would record 31 birdies on the week en route to a two-stroke win over Goydos. After losing his PGA Tour card in 2005, Stricker owns the distinction of winning back-to-back Comeback Player of the Year awards (2006, '07). He was a Captains Pick in the 2008 Ryder Cup.
