In 2009, Johnson posted a career-best nine top-10 finishes and surpassed $4 million for the first time in his career, reaching No. 1 on the money list with a T9 at Crowne Plaza Invitational. Johnson in 2008 made 19 of 25 cuts, including seven top-25 finishes, but finished outside of the top 40 (no. 53) on the money list for the first time in his career. In 2007, Johnson captured his first major title at the Masters, and was a member of the United States Presidents Cup team, finishing with a 2-2-0 record. Prior to joining the PGA Tour, he topped the Nationwide Tour money list with a then-record earnings of $494,882. In college, as the No. 2 player on the Drake University golf team, Johnson led the Bulldogs to three NCAA Regional titles and two Missouri Valley Championships.
