No. 18 - "Dun Roamin’"
513 yards, Par 5
Jack Nicklaus, PGA Centenary Course Designer
This can be played as a par five or a par four. I think it’s a really nice, shortish par five, or a strong par four that plays up the hill, into the wind. Great amphitheatre around the green, with a great gallery situation here. I think the players will take a run at this one. Nevertheless, if they are too aggressive and go through the green to the left, they will leave themselves a very awkward chip shot from a deep valley. The hole is well bunkered short of the green. It’s a great viewing hole and hopefully many of the matches will reach this far.

The ideal drive favours the left side of the fairway opening up a chance of going for the green in two. Laying up short leaves a pitch to the well-protected green, but beware, missing the target leaves a challenging up and down.
