No. 4 - "Gowden Beastie"
211 yards, Par 3
Jack Nicklaus, PGA Centenary Course Designer
The longest of all the par threes. It can play up to 239 yards. I’m sure that both tee options will be used here, depending on how much excitement they want to create in the matches. It is protected by a little pot bunker short right and a bunker to the left of the green. The ball feeds in a bit from the right. It’s a good, long par three that requires an accurate tee shot.
Andrew Jowett, Head Professional at Gleneagles Resort
The safe shot is back right on a very large green with a tricky ridge running through the centre. An extra club may be needed to carry the bunker. Par is a good score on this hole, even for the pros.
