NVT Group join Ryder Cup Supplier family
NVT Group, Scotland’s largest independent ICT company, has signed a deal with Ryder Cup Europe to become Technology Services Integrator and an Official Supplier to The 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
The agreement means that NVT Group will design, test, build, install and support the technology infrastructure which is required to stage The 2014 Ryder Cup. By doing so, NVT will be assisting organisers to deliver the most connected Ryder Cup in history.
The Ryder Cup has evolved into one of sport’s most valuable and prestigious global brands. Over 250,000 spectators are expected to travel to Gleneagles for the event, which takes place in September 2014. A further daily audience of 500 million people across 183 countries is also being forecast for television.
Stephen Park Brown, Managing Director of NVT Group, said: “As a business we are currently celebrating our 25th anniversary and we can’t think of a better way to do so than by announcing our involvement with The 2014 Ryder Cup. We have long supported sport in Scotland and it is extremely gratifying to know that we will be working as Technology Services Integrator for the two most prominent sporting events taking place in Scotland next year, the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and now, The 2014 Ryder Cup.”
Richard Hills, Europe’s Ryder Cup Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome NVT Group to family of Official Suppliers to The 2014 Ryder Cup, and in doing so, help them continue their tradition of supporting sporting events in Scotland.
“Without question, delivery of cutting-edge technology at the highest level is crucial to the success of any modern day sporting occasion and I know that, with the expertise of NVT Group behind us, The 2014 Ryder Cup will achieve that objective.”
