The 16 year old German sealed the biggest win of his career in the 90th Boys Amateur Championship at Muirfield in 2016. Tied after 36 holes with Spain’s Alejandro Aguilera, Hanisch held his composure on the first extra hole, finding the middle of the cup from four feet to secure a memorable victory. With three amateur titles to his name, including the DGV-Region 9 (1. AK16) in 2015 and the DGV DMM (AK14) in 2012, Hanisch is no stranger to success and has enjoyed a strong 2016 with four top ten finishes.
