Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

As Brooks Koepka became the first man to win back to back US Open Championships since Curtis Strange in 1988 and 1989, the end of the second Major of the year also saw big moves in the Ryder Cup Rankings.

Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton and Justin Rose all leapfrogged Francesco Molinari on the European Points list, after the trio all finished inside the top 10 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

It was Fleetwood who won the plaudits for the Europeans, as he tied the lowest ever US Open Championship round when he shot a scintillating 63 and posted the clubhouse lead. Come the end of the day, there would only be the winner Koepka above him on the leaderboard.

The top ten finishes for Hatton and Rose also firmed up their chances of being automatic picks for Thomas Bjørn’s European side at Le Golf National.

Matthew Fitzpatrick was the big mover on the World Points list, as his T12 finish saw him displace Spain’s Rafa Cabrera-Bello in the final qualification spot. The Englishman joins Rory McIlroy, Alex Noren and Jon Rahm in the automatic places.

Ian Poulter, Thorbjørn Olesen, Ross Fisher and Rafa Cabrera-Bello are all on the bubble heading into the final Ryder Cup qualification stretch.

The European Tour heads to Germany this week for the BMW International Open, where several European hopefuls will feature including previous Ryder Cup stars Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer and Thomas Pieters, who currently sit outside the automatic qualification places.
