Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

The Ryder Cup arrived in Rome today as Italy celebrated its success in the bidding process to host the biennial contest for the first time in 2022.

Two days after it was announced that Marco Simone Golf and Country Club will follow Club de Golf Valderrama in Spain (1997) and Le Golf National in France (2018) as the third venue on the Continent of Europe to host The Ryder Cup, Keith Pelley, Chief Executive of The European Tour – the Managing Partner of Ryder Cup Europe – and Richard Hills, Europe’s Ryder Cup Director – arrived in the Eternal City with Samuel Ryder’s famous Cup.

Pelley and Italian Federation President Franco Chimenti signed the official document signifying Italy will host the 2022 Ryder Cup ahead of a packed press conference at the Coni (Italian National Olympic Committee) building in Rome, where they were joined by Marco Durante (Italian Ryder Cup Bid Director), Giovanni Malagò (CONI President), and Laura Biagiotti (Owner of Marco Simone Golf Club) from the successful Italian bid.
