Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

US Open champion Dustin Johnson and Olympic bronze medallist Matt Kuchar put in a devastating performance to get the better of Lee Westwood and Thomas Pieters on Friday morning. The American duo won the first two holes, before Johnson, who won his first foursomes point as a Ryder Cup player, made long putts at the fifth and eighth to put the Americans in complete control. Debutant rookie Pieters won Europe’s first hole at the ninth, but Johnson and Kuchar saw the result out to earn the most resounding victory of the morning foursomes.

KEY MOMENT: Johnson sank a big putt at the eighth to send the Americans 5UP and give Pieters and gave Westwood an almost insurmountable mountain to climb.

THEY SAID IT: “This guy is playing so good, anybody could partner him and have success. Playing off where this guy drives, it’s a fun game for me.” - Matt Kuchar.
