NEW YORK -- The U.S. Captain for the 2014 Ryder Cup -- to be played at Gleneagles in Scotland -- will be revealed by the PGA of America in a news conference at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, from the 80th floor of the world-famous Empire State Building.
RYDERCUP.com has you covered for this breaking news event with live, streaming video of the press conference to be followed up throughout the day with video highlights, an official transcript, a Q&A with the new captain, a column by PGA.com's Steve Eubanks and a photo gallery.
Be sure to tune in at 10:30 Thursday morning to see who will be the person hoping to lead the U.S. to victory for the first time since 2008 and for the first time overseas since 1993 at The Belfry.
Back in September, the Davis Love III captained U.S. team took a commanding 10-6 lead into the Sunday singles session at Medinah, before Europe stormed back for an incredible come-from-behind victory. Europe's rally at Medinah matched the 1999 U.S. team at Brookline for the largest final-day come back.
The 2014 matches at Gleneagles will mark the first time since 1973 that the Ryder Cup has been contested in Scotland.
