In 2006, Steve Stricker stormed back from oblivion to emerge as one of the world's best players. Needing sponsor exemptions or top-10 finishes to get into most fields, Stricker made 15 of 17 cuts and earned $1,811,811 on the strength of seven top-10s. The Wisconsin native followed that up with a career year in 2007, with a victory at The Barclays. Finished the season No. 4 in the Official World Golf Ranking and was voted PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year for a second consecutive season.
