Hole 2 Go to 1

No. 2

610 Yards
Par 5

This is a good hole, played alongside the River Usk. The drive demands accuracy with a narrow fairway that looks like a ribbon featuring deep bunkers on both sides. Even for the long hitters this is a tough hole to get up in two. Anything a tad off line to the left will be swept away by the contours of the green and if you go down the swale to the right you can be 15 paces away, six feet below the green and facing a devilish shot. So all things being equal you are more likely to make an up and down birdie than a two putt birdie. There were only two eagles here in The 2009 Celtic Manor Wales Open, but 80 birdies.
