Hole 11 Go to 10

No. 11

562 Yards
Par 5

This is the big eagle chance on the golf course. There were eight here in The 2009 Celtic Manor Wales Open and expect to see more -- hopefully from Europe -- in October. This is a good hole providing you hit the twisting, narrow fairway. That means missing the water to the left and a raised bunker to the right. If you do that, you can reach the green and you can do that in two on this hole because it is also largely downhill. There is a big swale to the left of the green -- behind a deep, cavernous bunker which has been rebuilt -- but you would be unlucky to go in the water. Two other slightly smaller, though still quite deep, bunkers help to guard the green but the spectators will see plenty of spectacular shots to the putting surface with the chance of setting up an eagle putt.
