Format
- The contest will consist of two teams, Captained by Colin Montgomerie, and Corey Pavin. Including the Captains there are 6 players on each team.
- There will be 3 matches and the format is 4 Ball Better-Ball Match play, meaning, two partners compete together as a side, with each player playing their own ball.
- A side’s score for the hole is the lower score, considering any stroke allowance, of the two partners on that hole. A “won hole” gains a point for the team.
- Each match is played to a finish on the 7th hole and the winner of each match will be the team with the most “points won” at the end of 7 holes e.g. Match 1 – Team “A” 3 holes won; Team “B” 3 holes won; Result 3:3.
- The total “points won” over the 3 matches will determine the overall winner.
- In the event of a tie in the overall match, there must be a winner. There will be a “shootout” between 4 players, 2 from each side, nominated by the Team Captain at the conclusion of play. The “shootout” between the 4 players will be a “nearest to the pin competition” around the 18th green from a location determined by the event Tournament Director.
