Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY
BMW Championship - Round Three

Dustin Johnson drained an improbable 25-footer on the 72nd hole of the BMW Championship to force a playoff with Jon Rahm. But Rahm did one better when he poured in a 66-footer of his own on the first extra hole to win at Olympia Fields Country Club. Johnson’s runner-up finish is his third consecutive top 2 finish in as many starts and further locked up his position at No. 1 in the U.S. Ryder Cup point standings. Johnson is a four-time member of the U.S. Team in 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2018.

Collin Morikawa, who won the the Workday Charity Open in July and PGA Championship in August, has continued a steady climb in the U.S. Ryder Cup point standings over the latter half of the year. Following his T20 finish at the BMW Championship, he moved from No. 3 to No. 2 in the standings by trading position with Brooks Koepka. With the top 6 slated to qualify for the matches scheduled to be played at Whistling Straits in 2021, Morikawa looks on-track to qualify for his first Ryder Cup team.

Other notable moves last week belong to Jason Kokrak who climbed from No. 36 to No. 30 in the Ryder Cup point standings with his third top 10 of the season, a T6 at the BMW Championship. Brain Harmon moved from No. 55 to No. 43 with his T12 finish.

While Morikawa and Koepka traded spots in the standings, the top 6 otherwise remains unchanged following the BMW Championship. Click here to view the current standings.
