Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

The Amundi Open de France saw a long overdue return to the winners’ circle for Nicolas Colsaerts, as he finished one stroke ahead of Denmark’s Joachim B. Hansen in Paris.

It was a dramatic final day at Le Golf National, host course of The 2018 Ryder Cup in which Europe ran out victors, which saw Colsaerts lead by five at one stage.

However, with Le Golf National being somewhat of a brute of a golf course, the closing nine holes would be some of the most dramatic this season.

Despite a double bogey six on the 15th hole, after finding the water, Colsaerts held his nerve to card a final round 72 to win by one.

The Belgian has represented Europe once before at The 2012 Ryder Cup, also known as the “Miracle at Medinah.”

The 36-year-old picked up one point from four matches, but the memories of Europe’s greatest ever comeback is sure to inspire the three-time European Tour winner to make the team for a second time – again on American soil.

For Hansen, the Dane continued his end of season form by finishing in solo second place in Paris. This leaves him just outside the automatic places, on the bubble.

As it stands, Danny Willett (1,298.69), Bernd Wiesberger (1,253.73), Jon Rahm (1,240.00) and Victor Perez (975.58) are all qualifying via the Ryder Cup Points List

On the World Points List, the current five qualifiers are Matthew Fitzpatrick (30.44), Matthew Southgate (30.00) Rafa Cabrera-Bello (29.07), Colsaerts (25.74) and Francesco Laporta (24.39).

This week, the European Tour heads to the Algarve for the Portugal Masters.
