Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

The atmosphere on the first tee at Le Golf National is sure be electric and, with the largest grandstand ever constructed for a Ryder Cup, it will be some occasion when the opening drives are sent soaring down the first hole.

The USA team will have the honour on the tee at The 2018 Ryder Cup, and with it, all the pressure in the world to find the fairway.

Surely you haven't forgotten how impressive a first tee atmosphere is?

The opening shot at The Ryder Cup is often referred to as ‘the most terrifying shot in golf,’ and with a large water hazard to the left of the fairway at Le Golf National, and thousands upon thousands of excited fans surrounding the tee box alone, it will not be for the faint of heart in Paris.

So, when exactly will the wait finally be over and The 42nd Ryder Cup officially get underway?

On the morning of Friday, September 28 the first fourball match will make the adrenaline-filled walk from the putting green to the first tee at 8:00am.

The two-man team from the USA and the two-man team from Europe will each be introduced to the crowd and the millions watching around the world before, at exactly 8:10 am Central European Summer Time (CEST), the tee will belong to the Americans to let the games begin.

The subsequent three matches will go in 15-minute intervals and begin at 8:25, 8:40 and 8:55.
