Stood on the 17th tee with the score one down against America’s Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose produced two sensational holes of golf, which ultimately was a key moment in Europe’s historical and emotional comeback.
On the 17th, the Englishman rolled in a 40ft putt across the green – which Mickelson himself couldn’t help but applaud – to get the scores back to level.
This was then followed up by a stunning 15ft birdie putt on the 18th to secure the victory against a previously unbeaten Mickelson.
