Headed into the festive break, the 2018 European Ryder Cup team is gradually beginning to take shape.

The recently crowned Race to Dubai champion, Tommy Fleetwood, has moved into the projected team thanks to his end-of-season form, including a top ten finish in Hong Kong. He is joined in the World Points List by Masters champion Sergio Garcia, England's Ross Fisher and young Irishman Paul Dunne.

As for the European Points List, it is made up of four of the most in-form players in the world in the form of Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton, Jon Rahm and Matthew Fitzpatrick. All four are currently ranked inside the top 30 in the Official Golf World Rankings, thanks to their play over the last twelve months.

Of the eight players in the current projections, four would be rookies at Le Golf National in September.
