It was announced earlier this week when Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka took the Ryder Cup Trophy to PGA of America headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., that much like the NHL's Stanley Cup, the Ryder Cup Trophy would be spending time at home with each member of the 2016 winning USA team -- a week each -- over the next few months.
The idea is to let the players bask in the victory, while also affording them the opportunity to share the trophy with family and friends.
On Thursday, the Ryder Cup Trophy traveled to Boerne, Texas, for the first stop on its victory tour: The home of PGA Champion Jimmy Walker.
Walker posted a few images to his Instagram account:
Special surprise inbound to Boerne!!!
