Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

Saturday 28 July marks two months until the start of The 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National.

And what an event we’re in store for.

As the European team starts to take shape, golfers and golf fans are excited by just what this team could achieve in Paris, including The 2010 Ryder Cup captain and eight time Team Europe appearance maker Colin Montgomerie who said: “This could be the strongest ever team.”

As things stand The Open winner Francesco Molinari, World Number Two Justin Rose, three time European Tour winner Tyrrell Hatton and 2017 Race to Dubai winner Tommy Fleetwood make up the top four places on the European Points List.

Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Alex Noren and Paul Casey make up the players in the automatic places on the World Points List.

The team becomes even more exciting when you consider the fact that there is a wealth of experience and in form players on the bubble for captain Thomas Bjørn to choose from, including the likes of Matthew Fitzpatrick, Sergio Garcia, Russell Knox, Thorbjørn Olesen, Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson.

The race for the team ends at the close of play of the Made in Denmark tournament on September 2, with the wildcard being selected just a few days later.

The 12-man squad that will head to France is handed the task of reclaiming The Ryder Cup after they were comfortably beaten at Hazeltine, 17-11, in 2016.

That task is made even more difficult when you consider the great strength the American squad boasts with seven Major winners, with 11 Major victories between them, currently automatically qualifying for the team.

This contrasts with Europe’s four Major winners currently qualifying, with six titles between them – four of which belong to McIlroy.

For sure, both teams posses great strength meaning it is going to be an incredible battle on the testing Le Golf National at the end of September, which is sure to have the whole golfing world watching.
