Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

Scott Piercy and Billy Horschel teamed up to win the Zurich Classic on Sunday and, for the Ryder Cup points that came with the victory, both players rocketed up the latest USA standings.

Horschel made the leap from No. 54 to No. 19, while Piercy went from No. 56 to No. 21. Horschel was the only player to break into the top 20 who was outside it a week ago.

Neither Piercy nor Horschel has been on a Ryder Cup USA team just yet, but both have narrowly missed out.

Masters champion Patrick Reed, currently No. 1 in the Ryder Cup USA standings, put a little more distance between himself and everyone else thanks to a T7 with partner Patrick Cantlay in New Orleans.

Tony Finau and Daniel Summerhays also tied for seventh in New Orleans, moving Finau from No. 17 to No. 13 in the latest standings. Players ranked No. 1-12 in the USA standings a week ago remained the same after the Zurich Classic.

U.S. players will continue to gain points in 2018 at every non-opposite PGA Tour event, WGC and major through the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive, concluding on August 12, 2018.

At that time, Captain Jim Furyk will have his first eight players -- automatic qualifiers.

The four remaining slots on the U.S. Team will be Captain's Selections. Three selections will be announced by Captain Jim Furyk following the Dell Technologies Championship scheduled to be completed on Sept. 3, 2018, and the final selection will be announced after the BMW Championship, which is slated to be completed on Sept. 9, 2018.

Here's how players will earn points in 2018.
