Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

The madness is heating up! Much like the NCAA Tournament has played out, we've had a few close calls and a few upsets, but we've been lacking that buzzer-beater moment.

Consider Rory McIlroy vs. Phil Mickelson the Wisconsin vs. Florida of our imaginary Ryder Cup Sunday bracket pool. Phil brought his A-game, but Rory squeaked out the win by just a handful of votes to advance to our Elite 8. We imagine the game-winner looked something like this:

Here's how the voting turned out for the Sweet 16 matchups.

#1 Dustin Johnson (90.2%)#13 Bubba Watson (9.8%)
#2 Adam Scott (34.1%)#3 Rickie Fowler (65.9%)
#1 Jason Day (53.7%)#13 Jim Furyk (46.3%)
#2 Justin Thomas (56.1%)#3 Sergio Garcia (43.9%)
#1 Hideki Matsuyama (58.5%)#4 Justin Rose (41.5%)
#2 Jordan Spieth (58.5%)#3 Patrick Reed (41.5%)
#1 Rory McIlroy (51.2%)#5 Phil Mickelson (48.8%)
#2 Henrik Stenson (70.7%)#11 Zach Johnson (29.3%)

Now, on to the Elite 8, where we have some truly elite players facing off, including a few Ryder Cup teammates battling it out.

Two players looking for their first green jacket — World No. 1 Dustin Johnson and U.S. teammate Rickie Fowler — will square off in the Augusta Region, and Team Europe leaders Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson will do battle in the Royal Birkdale region. Final group at the Masters and The Open Championship, Sunday pairings at the Ryder Cup, no matter the setting these would be exciting to watch.

It doesn't get any easier in our other two matches. Former World No. 1 and 2015 PGA Champion Jason Day faces off against one of the hottest names in golf this season in Justin Thomas, and 2-time major champion and U.S. Ryder Cup player Jordan Spieth will face the other hot hand in golf this season in Hideki Matsuyama.

Place your votes below for who you would pick to win these imaginary Sunday Ryder Cup matches. Voting is open through midnight on Sunday. We will crown our champion next weekend with the final four and our championship match.
