By Ryder Cup Digital On September 25, 2025 13:11 UTC
Weather is always a storyline at the Ryder Cup, and this year’s competition at Bethpage Black is no exception. With passionate New York crowds and one of the most demanding courses in golf, conditions can play a major role in shaping momentum and strategy.
Here’s the latest look at how the weather could impact play this week.
Friday
Any shallow patches of fog that may develop early this morning are expected to burn off by 7:30 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy to a mix of sun and clouds this morning before turning party cloudy for the afternoon hours. A passing patch of drizzle cannot be entirely ruled out, otherwise anticipate dry conditions throughout the day. Light westerly winds this morning will increase to 7-13 mph for the afternoon. The temperature will reach a high near 80°F.
Saturday
A good day for watching the Ryder Cup. Chances of rain are 10 percent and below, with partly cloudy to a mix of sun & clouds. Temperatures should are forecasted to be a low of 62 and high of 78 degrees. Winds will be calm in the morning at 3-8 mph and be a touch heavier in the afternoon at 7-12 mph.
Sunday
Overnight into Sunday has a 50 percent chance of rain but those showers should clear out in the morning and make way for good conditions for golf as Singles matches get underway in the mid-60s and upper 70s. There's a potential for spotty showers in the afternoon but otherwise ideal conditions with temperatures rising to 75 degrees and winds in the 8-13 mph range in the afternoon.
