Wentworth2Wales – Thomas Bjørn’s story

Thomas Bjørn faced one of the toughest challenges of his career when he walked 210km in just four days, and raised more than £35,0000 for UNICEF and the Golf Foundation. The mammoth walk, inspired by the fundraising exploits in the UK of Captain Sir Tom Moore during the COVID-19 lockdown, saw Bjørn carriy the Ryder Cup from the European Tour’s Headquarters at Wentworth Club, Surrey to The Celtic Manor Resort, Wales. Friendly faces, including 2020 Captain Padraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy, and Niall Horan offered their support along the way, as well as inspirational messages from Liverpool FC’s James Milner and Captain Sir Tom Moore himself helping Bjørn complete this staggering feat.
