biography

Holed the winning putt at The K Club on his Ryder Cup debut. His victory at the 2013 DP World Tour Championship, Dubai made him the first player to win both the Race to Dubai and the US PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup in the same season. The Swede has won 11 European Tour titles, with two of those titles coming within the space of a month in 2016 – in Germany at the BMW International Open and at The 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon, after coming through a titanic final day battle with Phil Mickelson. He broke the record for the lowest score at any Major both in relation to par (20 under par) and aggregate shots (264).
