Best moments from the 2018 Ryder Cup Trophy Tour

The Ryder Cup trophy continues to roll along on it US tour with the clash between the US and Europe not far away.

U.S. Captain Jim Furyk kicked off the trophy tour in New York on August 14. The Captain got to throw out the first pitch of the New York Yankees vs. New York Mets game at Yankee Stadium, discuss his options for captain's picks on Today and climb the Empire State Building.

Next stop on the tour is the great Midwest, making a stop in Wisconsin, home to the 2020 Ryder Cup host course at Whistling Straits.




The Ryder Cup then went to Chicago.


On Saturday, August 25, the trophy spent the day at the Chicago Bears-Kansas City Chiefs preseason NFL game during its visit to the Windy City.


The trophy remained busy after catching the NFL preseason game.

Next up, the Ryder Cup trophy stopped by for a preview of the 2019 PGA Championship: Bethpage State Park.

Bethpage Black has previously served as host of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open, but 2019 will be the first time it has the PGA Championship.


The Ryder Cup then turned to Houston and got to spend time with another trophy. On Thursday, Aug. 30, the trophy stopped by the Houston Astros game -- and had a picture taken with the Astros' 2017 World Series Championship trophy.





On the next stop, the trophy visited the Texas Rangers as the Rangers played the Twins.



The Texas tour didn't stop there. On Sunday, September 2, the trophy moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the LSU-Miami (Fla.) game.



Following a stop at Captain Jim Furyk's press conference to announce Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau would be joining the squad this year, the tour headed west from Philly to the Bay Area. The trophy visited the Golden Gate Bridge before heading off to Stanford where it took in the Stanford vs. USC game with Dr. Condoleezza Rice and the Stanford golf team.



Then it was on to tour Pittsburgh and make a stop at the Steelers practice before their game on Sunday.
