Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

With his victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champions on Sunday, Dustin Johnson soared to the top of the 2018 Ryder Cup USA points standings.

After collecting 1,260 points for the win at Kapalua, Johnson vaulted from No. 4 to No. 1 in the latest standings, replacing Brooks Koepka in the top spot in the race to Le Golf National, Paris, France.

Koepka dropped to No. 2, while Justin Thomas went to No. 3 and Jordan Spieth went to No. 4. There was no other movement in the top 12 at the limited-field event in Maui.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions marked the first chance for U.S. players to gain points in 2018 -- something they'll be able to do at every non-opposite PGA Tour event, WGC and major through the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive, concluding on August 12, 2018.

At that time, Captain Jim Furyk will have his first eight players -- automatic qualifiers.

The four remaining slots on the U.S. Team will be Captain's Selections. Three selections will be announced by Captain Jim Furyk following the Dell Technologies Championship scheduled to be completed on Sept. 3, 2018, and the final selection will be announced after the BMW Championship, which is slated to be completed on Sept. 9, 2018.

Here's how players will earn points in 2018.
