Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

The iconic savoir-fête of Moët & Chandon, the Maison that introduced champagne to the world and that represents the champagne choice to seal sharing moments, returns by the side of sporting celebrations. From 25 September to 1 October in Rome, at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, guests and protagonists of the Ryder Cup will have the chance to toast with the unique and inimitable style of Maison's champagnes.

Many of the rituals that have become part of the sports imagery are due to the French Maison, such as: uncorking a bottle on the podium, christening a boat launch or toasting from a pyramid of flutes with a cascade of champagne. Its centuries-old celebratory spirit became a cultural zeitgeist, anticipating customs and traditions that later took root in the global lifestyle.

In 1936 the Italian motor racing legend Tazio Nuvolari celebrated the Vanderbilt Silver Cup in New York by drinking directly from a Moët & Chandon Jéroboam presented to him with the trophy. In the mid-1960s the iconic celebratory shaking of the bottle took place for the first time: according to the story, the winner of the Silver Cup Trophy shook it to the detriment of Henry Ford II - the historic CEO of Ford Motors - and Mrs. Ford, who were showered with Moët & Chandon.

The tradition of christening vessels with champagne began even earlier when the yacht “Meteor” owned by Kaiser Wilhelm II was launched in 1902. Ever since, seeing first ladies, princesses and movie stars posing near the bow of a boat with a bottle of Moët & Chandon in hand has become a universally recognized symbol.

The Ryder Cup is the most important team event in the world of golf and brings the best players from the United States and Europe together every two years.

For its 44th edition - which will be held for the first time in Rome from 25 September to 1 October 2023 at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club - Moët & Chandon will be the only Champagne served in the different areas of the event. Throughout the event it will accompany toasts with the iconic Moët Impérial champagne, fruity and generous in style, continuing a tradition of unforgettable sporting celebrations.
