Sept. 22-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

Sergio Garcia when asked about the fans at Hazeltine:

“Well I was reminded many times that I’ve never won a Major before. But I do have five Ryder Cups with some amazing teams and I'm very proud of that. I wouldn't give any one of them away for a Major Championship.”

Rory McIlroy on his epic match against Patrick Reed:

“For the first eight holes I was doing pretty well, but I just ran out of steam. It's been a long week. Patrick played great today as he has all week. I didn't have enough at the end to try and stop him. We mocked each other a little bit and whatever, but at the same time it was all in good fun. I have no problems with Patrick at all. He's been immense this week.”

Justin Rose was not too impressed with the course setup:

“I thought the setup was incredibly weak. I thought it was very much a Pro-Am feel in terms of the pin placements. They were all middle of the green.

“I don't quite understand that to be honest with you when you have 24 world-class players. We want to showcase our skills. We want to be tested. For example, the water holes out there, all the pins were as far away from the water as possible.”

Captain Darren Clarke reflects on the week:

“I couldn't be more proud of the guys that I'm surrounded with. They did everything I asked of them. They tried their hearts out. They worked hard. They fought hard.

“But the bottom line is that Davis's team holed a few more putts than we did, and they played better. So when it comes to it, the American Ryder Cup Team deserved to win this Ryder Cup, and we're all gutted and disappointed. But we will be back stronger to fight in two years' time in Paris.”

Danny Willett on how his Ryder Cup debut went:

“S**t, really s**t.”

Rory on keeping hold of Thomas Pieters as a partner for the next 20 years and positives:

“I've got a partner beside me for the next 20 years and I'm not letting anyone else have him (putting arm around Thomas Pieters).

“But seriously I think there have been many positives to take going into Paris in two years' time. Some of the new blood that we have, they have experienced their first Ryder Cup and now they know what it's about and they know what they are going to expect next time. I’m confident we'll have that winning feeling again in Paris.”

Pieters on making his debut and winning four points:

“We all win and we all lose together. I did play well this week but unfortunately we lost. Hopefully we'll be back with the same team in two years' time.

"I'm glad I had the full experience of playing five games. Hopefully I can take that experience into the next Ryder Cup. I didn't feel like a rookie here at all at Hazeltine, so I think that's good. Especially playing with Rory, it was smooth sailing for us. He gave me all the confidence going into today."

Lee Westwood on some of the interaction he had with the galleries this week:

“One thing to come out of the week was I’ve been called a turd for the first time since I was about 12 years old. It made me feel young again.”

Rafa Cabrera Bello when asked how it felt to play his first Ryder Cup:

For me it's been a really good week. I mean, in a way it's kind of ruined every other tournament I'm going to play from now on. It's been really exciting. Gettuing to share so many moments with all my teammates, learning from the veterans and also just being out there. It was a very, very huge honour, and it's really been a life-changing week for me.”

Henrik Stenson on defeating Jordan Spieth in the Sunday singles:

“It felt nice yeah. It was a tough one to lose in the singles against him at Gleneagles. I don't think I've played that poorly this week by any means, but I haven't been getting too many points. So I didn't want to let it slip today, and came out with some good game and kept very focused and I did my thing. I was happy with the outcome, but it hurts to lose as a team.”
