Harman is making his first Ryder Cup appearance after a season that saw him win his first major championship, a dominant performance at The Open Championship in July. He officially clinched his spot on the U.S. Team with a T-5 finish at the BMW Championship.

Although a Ryder Cup rookie, the 36-year-old has plenty of match play experience. In 2005, he was the youngest American to ever make the 10-man U.S. Walker Cup team. Harman followed that with a second Walker Cup berth in 2009; the U.S. won both of those Cups.
