World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will make his third consecutive Ryder Cup appearance when he tees it up at Bethpage Black, coming off another historic season that saw him capture two more major championships.
Scheffler, a native of Ridgewood, N.J. and resides in Dallas, Texas, won the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club by a commanding five strokes, and would capture The Open Championship at Royal Portrush by four. The major triumphs were part of a remarkable season that saw him tally five wins and 16 top 10s in 19 PGA Tour starts.
Scheffler came into 2025 as a two-time major champion, having won the 2022 and 2024 Masters.
The 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits was the site of an impressive Ryder Cup debut for Scheffler, who went 2-0-1 for the victorious U.S. team. He partnered with Bryson DeChambeau during both Four-Ball sessions, with the duo going unbeaten, coming away with a win and a tie.
The former University of Texas standout, who has now won on the PGA Tour 18 times, has also represented the United States in international team competition as part of the victorious Presidents Cup teams in 2022 and 2024, the victorious Walker Cup team in 2017, and the victorious Junior Ryder Cup Team in 2012.
