The 43rd Ryder Cup, golf’s pre-eminent event, is coming to Whistling Straits, September 21-26, 2021. Read up on all that you need to know to make the most of your day and be sure to download the Ryder Cup On-Site Guide before heading to the course!

COMMITMENT TO HEALTH

Our Commitment to Health
Our plan is to host the 43rd Ryder Cup with full-spectator attendance, at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin, September 21-26. All attendees will be required to wear face coverings while indoors, unless actively eating and drinking. Face coverings are strongly recommended for all attendees while outdoors. New information and updates will continue to be shared accordingly.

ADMISSIONS & CONDUCT POLICIES

Re-Admission Policy
There will be no daily re-entry to the grounds. If you leave the grounds, you must have an unscanned ticket/credential to return to the Ryder Cup. All admission tickets issued by the PGA granting access to the Ryder Cup are licenses that may be revoked by the PGA or the PTC in their sole discretion for any reason or no reason at all. Once your ticket has been scanned, it will no longer provide admission. The only exception is when the Weather Warning signs have been posted.

Junior Admission Policy
Kids (“juniors”) 17 years of age and younger receive free admittance onto the grounds when accompanied by a ticketed adult on Practice Days, Tuesday through Thursday, regardless of event sell-out. There is a maximum of two (2) free juniors per ticketed adult. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday each junior must have a paid ticket to enter the grounds. Children under the age of 2 will be permitted into the Ryder Cup with a ticketed adult and do not require their own ticket on both Practice and Match Days. Junior tickets do not gain access into private hospitality areas or the International Pavilion presented by Michelob ULTRA. Free junior tickets must be collected onsite at the Admissions Office at the Ryder Cup main entrance on the day of admission. No advance registration is necessary.

Military Admission Policy
To honor the men and women who serve our country in the United States Armed Forces, the Ryder Cup is pleased to offer Active Duty, Military Retirees*, Active Reserve, National Guard and their accompanying spouse/partner complimentary grounds tickets during Practice Days, Tuesday through Thursday, regardless of event sell-out. Complimentary military tickets do not gain access into private hospitality areas or the International Pavilion presented by Michelob ULTRA, but are eligible for the junior policy. Tickets will be picked up at the Admissions Office onsite at the Ryder Cup main entrance on the day of admission. Military ID and photo ID required for pickup.

Admissions & Will Call Policy
There will be no will call drop-off service available at the 43rd Ryder Cup. Please arrange to distribute tickets and related items prior to arriving at Whistling Straits, as they will not be stored for collection by other individuals on-site. The Admissions office, located at the Main Spectator Entrance, will distribute complimentary junior and military daily grounds admission tickets, Tuesday, September 21 - Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Photo Policy
Cameras are only allowed on-site at Whistling Straits during Practice Days, Tuesday through Thursday, and are not permitted on-site during Match Days, Friday through Sunday. Please consult the Mobile Device Policy for guidelines regarding mobile device photo, audio and video capturing while on-course.

Mobile Device Policy
Mobile devices must be kept in Golf Mode Setting at all times at the 43rd Ryder Cup:

  • Set your device to silent or vibrate, including but not limited to, ringer, notifications, and alerts.
  • Camera flash turned off.
  • Incoming and outgoing calls may only be made or received farther than 100 yards away from competition.
  • Text, email, social posting and other data use is allowed on the golf course at any location providing players are not in position and about to play their shots.
  • Mobile device photography, as well as audio and video capturing, is allowed in all areas during Practice Days (Tuesday- Thursday).
  • During Match Days (Friday-Sunday), photography, audio and video recording is prohibited anywhere within 100 yards of competition or when requested by players, caddies, marshals, volunteers, security or Ryder Cup staff and officials.

Alcohol Policy
All guests at the 43rd Ryder Cup are asked to drink responsibly and be respectful of players and other members of the gallery. Spectators appearing under the age of 30 will be asked for identification prior to being allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages on-site at Whistling Straits. The following documents are acceptable forms of identification at the Ryder Cup:

  • Current, valid United States or Canadian Driver’s License
  • Current, valid Military ID w/photo
  • Current, valid United States or Canadian ID card w/photo
  • Current, valid Passport
  • Current, valid Mexican Consular ID card
  • Current, valid U.S. Passport Card

Smoking Policy
Smoking, to include, but not limited to, cigars, pipes, cigarettes and e-cigarettes will be prohibited in any permanent or temporary buildings, inclusive of hospitality areas, on patios, decks or raised platforms, grandstands and bleachers at the Ryder Cup. Smoking is permitted on the grounds, 20 feet from any structures listed above.

Zero Tolerance Spectator Behavior Policy
During the Ryder Cup, it is expected that all spectators observe the traditional customs of etiquette, good behavior and respect toward others. Any individual or group that verbally abuses, taunts, or shouts insults at the players, caddies, captains, officials and/or their partners or families at any time or displays unruly or disorderly behavior will result in their immediate removal from the premises.

Additionally, anyone found inside the ropes without the appropriate accreditation will be immediately removed from the premises and will be subject to trespassing charges from local law enforcement.

Attendees are requested to display traditional customs of etiquette, decorum, and behavior, and to obey all Ryder Cup policies including, but not limited to, those provided on each ticket, all posted signs, and any instructions of Ryder Cup Marshals and Officials. 

Inappropriate behaviors and/or failure to comply with standards/policies will lead to ejection from the Ryder Cup and/or cancellation of admission tickets, without refund.

  • Although cheering and positive gallery responses to great play are encouraged, unsolicited and consistent calls from the gallery toward players and others are prohibited.
  • For the safety of everyone and in keeping with policy established at major sporting events, running is considered to be unacceptable behavior.
  • Please stay behind the gallery ropes and cooperate with instructions given by Ryder Cup Marshals.
  • Please kneel or sit if you are in the front row and remain still throughout each shot.
  • Anyone acting in a manner that is deemed to be abusive, derogatory, rude, or aggressive will be subject to removal from the Ryder Cup premises and will be prohibited from returning to the 43rd Ryder Cup or attending any future PGA event.

Items to Bring from Home
Here are a few items we recommend you bring from home to enhance your Ryder Cup experience:

  • Personal hand sanitizer (travel size)
  • One unlabeled and sealed bottle of water
  • Portable, canvas chair with a carry bag
  • Wear proper footwear to navigate the rugged and hilly terrain at Whistling Straits
  • As this is an outdoor event, be sure to dress accordingly and wear sunscreen
  • Portable phone charger

Methods of Payment
The following methods of payment are accepted onsite at the 43rd Ryder Cup, identified by location. The Ryder Cup will be a cashless environment. The following are acceptable methods of pay on-site at Whistling Straits during the event.

  • The Ryder Cup Shops: American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card
  • Concession and Beverage Stands: American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay

Personal checks and cash will NOT be accepted at the 43rd Ryder Cup.

Inclement Weather
Please observe the Leaderboards and Video Boards for the WEATHER WARNING signs which will appear when inclement weather is approaching the Ryder Cup site. When the signs appear, spectators are advised to take precautions and seek shelter PRIOR to play being suspended. The sign does not mean that play is suspended. If the dangerous weather does appear to be arriving in the area, then play will be suspended by the sounding of an air horn or similar alert and the posting of the PLAY SUSPENDED SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY signs. If the sirens sound to suspend play, seek shelter immediately.

In the event of inclement weather, please remember to avoid the following:

  • Bodies of Water 
  • Tall and/or Isolated Trees

SPECTATOR SERVICES

First Aid Stations
First-aid stations staffed by Prevea Health medical professionals will be located in Dye Plaza, near Hole 6 Concession, and near Hole 15 Green. Each First Aid Station will also be equipped with private mothering rooms, storage and refrigeration. Mothers are permitted to bring necessary equipment on-site.

Disability Services
The Ryder Cup is a fully accessible event, and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure that you have access to all the Ryder Cup amenities. To learn more about the services provided this year, click here.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found will be located at the Information Booth in Dye Plaza near the Main Spectator Entrance.

Complimentary Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available at a number of locations around the Ryder Cup grounds. Keep an eye out for Wi-Fi signs during your visit and make sure to download the 2020 Ryder Cup app!

Grandstands
Numerous grandstands are located throughout the grounds. All public grandstand seating is first come, first served. For the safety of everyone and in keeping with policy established at major sporting events, spectators are reminded that running is considered to be unacceptable behavior.

Ryder Cup Radios
Specially programmed radios will be available for purchase at the Ryder Cup. These radios will broadcast the audio portion of the televised feed featured on the video boards, as well as play-by-play radio commentary, throughout the competition (Friday through Sunday) on separate channels. Ryder Cup radios may be purchased for $17 near The Ryder Cup Shops.

Portable Phone Charging
Portable phone chargers are available for rent or purchase in Dye Plaza, at the Range Concession, Irish Hole 10 Concession, and Hole 10 Concession.

43rd Ryder Cup Programs
Official Programs are available for purchase in The Ryder Cup Shops. The cost of a program is $10.00.

General Public Parking
FREE Public Parking will be available in two locations, General Public North and General Public South. Vehicles entering the lots must fit into a standard size parking space.

North of Whistling Straits Golf Course.

Complimentary shuttle service from the General Public North Lot will be provided to and from the Ryder Cup Main Entrance at Whistling Straits.

General Public South
South of Whistling Straits Golf Course.

The General Public South Lot is within walking distance to the Ryder Cup Main Entrance.

There will be no overnight parking in any Ryder Cup Public Parking Lots, and any vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please lock your vehicle. PGA Tournament Corporation is not responsible for damage to your vehicle, or items lost or stolen from your vehicle.

Carpooling is highly encouraged.

Rideshare
Spectators electing to utilize any rideshare services must be picked up and dropped off at the Ryder Cup’s Official Rideshare lot located at 5300 WI-42, Sheboygan, WI, 53083.

For an efficient Rideshare experience, simply enter “Whistling Straits” as the destination in your Rideshare app of choice and your driver will take you to the designated Rideshare lot.

Additionally, any third party shuttles choosing to bring spectators to the Ryder Cup must pick up and drop off at the Rideshare Lot located at 5300 WI-42, Sheboygan, WI, 53083.

Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from the Ryder Cup Main Entrance at Whistling Straits.

Note: For the safety and security of all spectators, there will be NO pedestrian and/or bicycle access to the 43rd Ryder Cup. Please plan accordingly, as this policy will be strictly enforced, and there will be no exceptions.

Accessible Parking
The Ryder Cup will have two different ADA parking lots available to our guests with disabilities.

The recommended ADA parking lot is located in Lot H, which is located off-site. Lot H is a flat asphalt parking lot. Wheelchair-accessible shuttles will then transport guests to the Clubhouse Bus terminal which is conveniently located next to the most popular holes on the course (Holes 1, 9,10, &18). Directions to Lot H are as follows:

From the North:
- Take I-43 South to HWY 42 (Exit 128)
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto HWY 42 North
- Continue North on HWY 42 through the second traffic circle
- Follow Law Enforcement and signage to Lot H

From the South:
- Take I-43 North to HWY 42 (Exit 128)
- At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto HWY 42 North
- Continue North on HWY 42 through the second and third traffic circles
- Follow Law Enforcement and signage to Lot H

From the West:
- Take HWY 23 East to I-43 North
- Continue North on I-43 to HWY 42 (Exit 128)
- At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto HWY 42 North

Our secondary ADA parking lot is located at the front of the General Public South parking lot. This parking lot is closer to the Dye Plaza (the location of the opening ceremonies, concessions, video board, volunteer HQ, and PGA Shop) however it is located a considerable distance from play. The secondary parking lot is on grass. Directions to this lot are as follows:

From the North:
- Take I-43 South to HWY 42 (Exit 128)
- After exiting, turn Left (EAST) onto HWY 42
- Continue South on HWY 42 to County DL (Dairyland Dr)
- Turn Left (NORTH) onto County DL (Dairyland Dr)
- Continue North on County DL to Garton Road
- Turn Right (EAST) onto Garton Road
- Continue East on Garton Road to Lakeshore Road
- Turn Left (NORTH) onto Lakeshore Road
- Follow Law Enforcement & signage to parking lot

From the South:
- Take I-43 North to Sheboygan
- Follow golf event signage & Law Enforcement to parking lot

From the West:
- Take HWY 23 East to I-43 North

You will need a verified Disabled Person Parking placard, permit, or license plate to enter this parking lot. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle, as a driver or passenger.

Please note that it’s against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required ADA credentials or to fraudulently use someone else’s in order to gain access to ADA parking spots.

Wheelchairs will not be available for rent, but spectators may bring wheelchairs with them to the 43rd Ryder Cup. Wheelchair-accessible viewing areas will be located at the #1 Tee, #1 Green, #2 Green, #10 Tee, #10 Green, #18 Green, and Practice Range.

Helo Service
A landing zone in close proximity to the golf course will be available for spectators wishing to arrive at the 43rd Ryder Cup via chartered helicopter. Those interested in booking flights can do so through the Ryder Cup’s helicopter provider, BLADE (flyblade.com).

On Course Menu Highlights
Enjoy a culinary walking tour of great food and drink at the 2020 Ryder Cup! Combining first-class chefs, simple, yet delicious ingredients and some local flare. You can count on us for memories so good, you can taste ‘em.

Ryder Cup Café: Featuring a variety of coffee and fresh baked goods, the Ryder Cup Café highlights include fresh ground Coffee and Espresso, in addition to Bagels, Donuts and Breakfast Burritos.

Grill & Market: When it’s time for a meal, stop by one of the Grill & Market locations found at the Dye Plaza, Practice Range, near the Ryder Cup Shops, hole #1, hole #4, hole #10, and Irish course hole #10. Here you will find our Specialty Items: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Salads, Wraps, Snacks, and a large selection of beverages including cold Beer, Soda and Water. 

Marketplace Express: If you’re trying to quickly get to the next hole, but need something to eat or drink on the way, stop at a Marketplace Express. Located at hole #1, hole #6, hole #9, and hole #15, you will find Hot Dogs, Brats, Snacks, and a limited selection of cold Beer and other beverages.

Pouring Bar: If you’re looking for cocktails featuring Jim Beam Black Bourbon, Tito’s Vodka, Sugarlands Shine, Wisconsin favorites like an Old Fashioned or Bloody Mary, or a nice glass of wine, make your way to one of our five Pouring Bars on site. Pouring Bars can be found at the Dye Plaza, near the Ryder Cup Shops, near the Clubhouse, hole #1, hole #10, and Irish course hole #10. 

Express Bar: As you swiftly follow the excitement on-course, the Express Bars are here to help. Located at Dye Plaza, hole #9 and hole #15, the Express Bars offer quick-service and feature Beer, Cocktails, Wine and additional beverages.

Specialty food items dot the menus at many concession locations. Local Cheese Curds, Beer Cheese Soup, and Butter Burgers bring the taste of Wisconsin to the Ryder Cup!
