About The Junior Ryder Cup

Beginning in 2023, the Junior Ryder Cup will take place over three days instead of two, with the Ryder Cup venue hosting the decisive singles matches for the first time.

Foursome Matches: Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Golf Nazionale

  • In foursomes, each two-person team plays one ball per hole with the players taking turns until each hole is complete. Players alternate hitting tee shots, with one leading off on odd numbered holes, and the other hitting first on even-numbered holes. The team with the low score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Four-ball Matches: Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Golf Nazionale

  • In four-ball, each member of a two-person team plays his or her own ball, so four balls are in play on every hole. Each team counts the lowest of its two scores on each hole, and the team whose player has the lowest score wins the hole. If the low scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Singles Matches: Thursday, Sept. 28 at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club

  • In singles, each match features one player from each team. The player with the lower score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Television

The final day of competition on Thursday, Sept. 28, will be broadcast live of SKY and streamed on Peacock from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. local time in Italy, which is 4:30-7:30 a.m. EDT.
