Ryder Cup Europe today announcesthat CDW has been named the Official IT Services Supplier of the 2027 Ryder Cup, taking on prime responsibility for the IT infrastructure platform that will power the 100th anniversary contest at Adare Manor, Limerick, Ireland, from 17 to 19 September 2027.

Building on its role as Official IT Services Supplier to the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, CDW’s remit for 2027 has expanded significantly. The company will act as the prime IT infrastructure delivery partner across the full lifecycle of the event, from initial design and build, through live operations during match week, to full decommissioning and asset recovery once the trophy has been lifted.

The Ryder Cup has a broadcast reach of over 650 million people worldwide and draws hundreds of thousands of spectators on site, placing extreme demands on every part of the technology stack—from broadcast and media operations through to hospitality, ticketing, point-of-sale and fan connectivity.

CDW’s scope for the 2027 Ryder Cup includes the deployment and management of:

HPE’s high-density wired and Wi-Fi 7 network based on HPE Networking architecture, designed to support broadcast, media, operations, hospitality and tens of thousands of concurrent spectator devices

Dual onsite network operational centres with full failover for operational continuity

Cyber security and HPE infrastructure services, including firewalls, network access control, DNS, DHCP and virtualised compute

A Technical Operations Centre (TOC) combining the management of the HPE network and security operations, with extensive onsite support including Tech Bars, roaming engineers and dedicated coverage for media, broadcast, VIPs and hospitality

Central technical authority for the event, coordinating connectivity and integration with third-party suppliers across broadcast, CCTV, ticketing, concessions and other operational systems

Sustainable asset lifecycle management, with pre-staged and pre-configured infrastructure to minimise onsite disruption and full recovery, validation and reuse of equipment after the event

Speaking about the announcement Penny Williams, Managing Director, CDW UK & International, said: “Being named the Official IT Services Supplier of the 2027 Ryder Cup is a tremendous moment for CDW and for the suppliers we will be working alongside. In Rome in 2023 we showed what is possible when you combine best-in-class technology with deep services capability; in 2027 we are going further, taking prime responsibility for the entire technology platform that allows the event to run securely, reliably and at full global broadcast scale. It is a privilege to support the Ryder Cup organisation again, and a powerful demonstration of the end-to-end delivery model our customers rely on every day.”

Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer at the European Tour Group, added: “The Ryder Cup sets a benchmark for live sporting experience, and the technology behind it has to be every bit as world-class as the competition on the course. For 2027 we needed a supplier capable of taking end-to-end accountability for the IT infrastructure, from deployment of the network and security centre design, through live operations, to post-event recovery, and doing it at the scale and resilience this event demands. CDW has the engineering depth, the integration expertise and the operational discipline to deliver exactly that, and we are delighted to be extending our relationship for 2027.”
